Hey... it's mostly just Doug and the songs that float around in his head, but the rest of the family helps out too.
Why this name?
It's a Family Thing, and James Gang was taken.
Do you play live?
I do a weekly karaoke show at Hooter's in Midlothian, I'm available as a "hired gun" for studio work, and I'll do the occasional solo gig in the general Richmond area
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Most of the stuff on commercial radio nowadays sucks big, mold-covered boogers. The corporate mooks just focus on pap that's "safe". That being said, there's quite a few indie bands of all genre's I've enjoyed for a while that are starting to catch the ear of a lot of people. The internet is where really good bands that get ignored can create a buzz for their music.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Why? I'd rather retain control of my music, thank you. If I sign to a label, it's going to be a small one. That way I know MY fans won't get abused and threatened with harassment lawsuits.
Band History:
What history? I've been playing my guitar for 30+ years, been with numerous unknown bands, most recently Southsidas
Your influences?
Beatles, Charlie Byrd, B. B. King, Chet Atkins, Jimi Hendrix, Roy Clark, AC/DC, Uriah Heep, Donovan, Neil Young, Todd Rundgren, and about a thousand others.
Wing is NOT an influence.
Wing is NOT an influence.

I'm born American, Southern by grace of God, and live in Midlothian, VA because I'm one of His chosen.
