Wanting to follow in the footsteps of his idols such as Eminem, Jay-Z, Nas, Notorious B.I.G & Tupac, the sixteen year old Josh Rodkey a.k.a. JR began rhyming at a young age. When the added influence from watching MTV and BET came into play a few years ago, JR started to write and recite his rhymes while mining bits and pieces till he reached perfection. With his lyrical ability at its peak, he will be releasing his debut album mid August, which is sure to increase his buzz and promotion throughout the area and state.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It goes both ways. It's good because you get a lot of exposure, promotion, advertisement, meeting new people & artists but, it's bad because people steal your music you worked so hard to make.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Depends on the circumstance's. Im not signing for a 100 grand.

Not in order: jay-z, nas, the roots, eminem, kool g rap, run dmc, grandmaster flash, b.i.g, tupac etc...
