back in jr. high my friend's dad was always calling me Slick.. and it just stuck wit me. Later on i added 'Young Smooth.' I went with 'Slick aka Young Smooth' for a while but one day i wanted to look me up on google.. and there were an endless amount of "Slick" music artists.. so i cut the 'Slick' and shortened the Young because there are too many of artists calling themselves 'Young' and 'Lil' and im not like other artists.. so i changed it completely to "Y. Smooth"

I would sign after i was established as an artist, because i want to do it unsigned.. but if i sat down with a label i was interested in signing with, i would say.. "lets talk money.."

i used to use a Samson CO1U condenser usb mic, a pop filter, boom stand, compaq presario SR1500NX, and recording software called Magix Music Maker 10 deluxe... but now im in a professional studio doing big things.. haha
