DJ MONTI is an up and coming DJ and Producer. He is releasing his first album October 2006 under Deskarado Records located in Los Angeles, CA. His music !--s can be defined as Trance, Breaks, and Electro. MONTI has particiapted in many big DJ events in South America, including the South American Music Conference in 2005; Quito, Ecuador. Why this name?
Monti is a nickname based on my last name. I have had it since school.
Do you play live?
I play live on a weekly basis, in different clubs. When I play live I transport myself to another world. The sensations and feelings are incredible.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet makes music be globally available instantly. MP3's are great but you have to be careful how to use them, especially with quality issues.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes I would.
Band History:
Since young, Monti has been a musician. His seriousness about it brought him to study in Berklee College of Music (Boston MA), where he graduated as a Recording/Mixing engineer and a Sound Designer. Electronic music has always been his main influence, but MONTI always tries to mix his sounds with acoustic sounds to be more musical. As a DJ, MONTI works with Ableton Live, creating music at the instant. He has been succesfull up to now, and he plans to grow alot.
Your influences?
I am influenced by artists such as SASHA, especially his Involver album. BT has also been a big influence.

Boston
