Why this name?
The name describes the make up of the band. A collective of musicians from all walks of life with the common denominator being true music. We play R.A.I.S. music, that is Rhythm and International Soul.
The name is a statement to the fact that we produce music of all types and hope to appeal to the international community.
Do you play live?
We have performed live at a number of venues including; The open house for the Chicago Communicator Newspaper, The Black Law Student Association Alumni Dinner, EXposure Restaurant, Cafe' Society Restaurant, and most recently at the African Carribean Festival of Life.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think it gives artists more freedom, and greater access to the listening public. It also allows for those without distribution avenues to get their material heard.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes, if the contract was one primarily for distribution and did not involve signing over rights to the masters.
