A totally different style of Music that is interesting and unique. Compel is bringing you what they call "Righteous Rythm". This group is definitely headed somewhere. If you don't believe it then just listen to their samples. The moment the music starts playing your attention will be hijacked. Then when you experience the creativity in the lyrics you can only sense an anointing on this type of music which speaks of God and his goodness and essential life principles.
Why this name?
The name Compel was chosen because of their ministry of reaching out to all classes of people compelling them to draw nigh unto the Lord.
Do you play live?
We Perform Live for schools, Churches, Birthday Parties, and have even been invited to play A Harbor Park in Norfolk VA. Our Goal is to Reach the world and compel many through our music which is backed by God. God music demands attention, therefore we aim to maintain the intergrity of the uniqueness and creativity of the Kingdom.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet levels the playing field between majors and indies allowing almost anyone who has musical talent to make money online.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
We would only sign up for a company that is Christian based and is aggressive in spreading our message of Gods Kingdom
Band History:
Compel was started when Andre Goodwin and April Brown came together at Faith In Action Christian Church in a Dream to begin a unique style of Christian Music that will compel both young and Old alike. Both are song writers. Andre is the Producer, Rapper. Their Daughter Jaela is A Rapper at the yound tender age of 5.
