I was born in San Jose, CA and raised in Pasadena, CA before settling down in Duarte, CA at the age of 12. I discovered the streetlife at an early age. Didn't really have a choice due to the environments that surrounded me. Drugs, gang violence, and poverty normally would run the average person away...but I don't scare that easily! In San Jose, I stayed with my grandparents while my mother was serving time in prison. With my real father nowhere to be found, my grandparents took me in like I was one of their children...and to this day I thank them for that (R.I.P Grandfather Richard)! When my mother was released from prison, I moved to Pasadena with her...away from the sheltered, suburban confines of my grandparents home to a two bedroom apartment in Pasadena in the middle of the hood. I started hustling at the age of 11 just so I could eat while my mother was out doing her thing with drugs. This was about the time the crack epidemic hit the hoods nationwide...I was right in the middle of it reaping all the benefits and watching my back just to stay alive. It was fierce competition but a n*** got to eat! I moved to Duarte after my mother remarried a man that to this day that I call my father. He was a god man but remember drugs wreck families...and that's exactly what happened. My mothers bout with drugs destroyed her new marriage and eventually she ended up back in prison. My stepfather took me in this time and raised me and my brother and sister all by himself. I hustled a little bit but it wasn't cause I had to...it was because I got caught up in the life seeing all the OGs making all that money. Eventually I stopped and began taking school and sports seriously. SO serious, that I received a football scholarship to attend Eastern Washington University after graduating from Citrus Community College. In college is where I got the Hip-Hop bug, performing at various spots in the Northwest. After graduating from college, I moved back home to Duarte to start my own mission in music. This story is true and not fabricated. You can see that I've been through a lot of shit. I am actually glad that all this happened to me...it made me a better person. This is also the reason why I do music so I can share my story to those who have been in simular situations and see no light at the end of the tunnel. There is always a light..Take the path less traveled. All you so called rappers showing my people these false images will be haunted by the REEL. REEL ROC PRODUCTIONS...YOUR TIME IS UP! P.S....MY MOMS is DOING WELL TODAY...DEDICATION PAYS OFF!!!!!
Why this name?
My first name is Shantell but everyone calls me Sean..My last name s Franklin so I shortened up Franklin to Franx...EASY!
Do you play live?
All over the NorthWest, Los Angeles area. Nothing like bringing the music to the people live. In the studio the atmosphere is structured...on stage you get to let loose and let it hang. I love the feeling!!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet is yet another way for artist to get their music exposed. A lot of people really don't have time to go to record shops. On the internet, customers can go online to preview and buy music immediately adding more sales for the artist!
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Money talks!

Ice Cube, 2Pac, Biggie Smalls, and Jay-Z are my favorite all time hip hop artist. I'm also a fan of 80s music and Motown!

My most precious tool that I have..My mind. Also fueled by haters, the past, and the foreseeable future!
