Pookie Was born in Chicago, off of 57th and Prarire, on the Southside of Chicago. He lived there until the age of 10. He then was moved to the Westside of Chicago to 25th street and California. He lived there until the age of 16, when he moved to Milwaukee, Wis. He lived there for a short few months where he had his first child. After almost a year he moved back to Chicago. Where he lived to the age of 24, when he moved out to the West coast, to Phoenix, AZ.
His Hip Hop Life started at about the age of 11. He started writing stories. He was inspired by his older sister who was also writing at the time. He then started realizing that he had a talant for writing rhymes. He then hooked up with his childhood friend named Derick( aka Two-Face ) The two of them created a group named EVILMINDS. They did alot of local talent compitions( which they always won) and even won a few opening act spots for Major performers that came to town. They even were on the Jenny Jones Show in the early 1990's. They continued their personal lives while always maintaining their Hip Hop dreams. It was in 1999 When Pookie moved to AZ . In that same Year Derick met a young man named Jack ( aka Jack Tha Rippa )
And the two of them started writing rhymes together. They Hooked up with a Producer who had a studio in his home named Ant. They recorded one song and sent it to Pookie in AZ. They told Pookie that he needed to move back to the Chi to work with them. So in 2001 Pookie moved his family back to the Chi. They layed several songs, and after only a few months, They decided to create a dream realized and started by Jack a few years prior. This dream was DOL. After about another year the daily life struggles of life took Pookie back to AZ. This was not a setback, only a come-up. This allowed Pookie to venture out and recruit more talant. This is exactly what he did. He first recruited two ( at that time boys ) out of High School.Their names were Akevin, and Josh ( aka Double O', and Lord Dunn ) They then layed several songs and ended up recruiting a young man named Jarmar ( aka Areon ). They then layed a few more songs. After about 2 months, they lastly recruited the final member of DOL, his name was JT ( aka Trill ). Now DOL was complete. They started doing shows across the valley, and even in Rocky Point Mexico. At that point one of the members Double O' went out on a solo mission titled Youngtown, and decided that he no longer was DOL. After a few months of relaxing time, Pookie realized that time was moving and started his own solo Project titled " In My Lifetime " . He layed an entire album, which is still in it's final stages of Production. Currently He is working on Completing his first solo project as well as a FAM CD, and starting his second solo project. ( title to be determined ).
