we are The Walking Wandas, comprised of a lead guitarist (alex otto), a drummer (jude m-c) and a rythem/bassist (sam seta). We play a variety of music, from grunge to folk. Many things have happened to slow us down, but were finally starting to shape up, and getting ready to start recording.
Why this name?
Walking Wanda is a mentally challenged lady that walks everywhere in our town. Literally she never stops walking. If we get famouse were buying her a tread mill and some new shoes.
Do you play live?
We have played live once, and plan on doing it more
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
it allows people to taste new music, and listen to new bads. If i find a band i really like I will still go out and buy a cd.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
YES
Your influences?
Portishead, moldy peaches, jimi hendrix, Hip-Hop, Sublime, nirvana,Bob Dylan, johny cash, the smashing pumpkins, the white stripes, b.b king, bob marly....pretty much everything
Favorite spot?
Ft.thomas Kentucky............just kidding
Equipment used:
we have a 4 track cassete deck a couple mics, some tama rockstars, a couple mitchelle amps, a vintage silvertone, and a bunch of borrowed/stolen equipment.
