When I came up with "Z Volf", I was picturing sitting in a Viennese office being psychoanalyzed by Sigmund Freud. I imagined him looking at me, taking a long drag from his pipe and asking "Vat does zee volf mean to you?"

I don't think that it really does. Back in the day before the internet, it was very difficult for a new band to get exposure. They had to tour constantly, self-release EPs, etc to get the attention of a label so that they could get some wide exposure. The biggest critique of this entire era was that there were many great bands that did not get the exposure they deserved.

The internet is a great leveller and now everybody has the ability to seek wide exposure. The problem is that now there is so much out there that many great artists get left without the exposure they deserve. Bands are still forced to tour constantly, release EPs and work their butts off in order to get recognized above the roar...

Humans are cognitive misers and only have so much attention to go around.

It would take me ten years to list all of my influences. Let's just say that I'm very very eclectic and leave it at that.
