This band is no longer together, but Sam is still making music here http://www.soundclick.com/SamAdams
In the fall of 2001, Nick Zee-Cheng, Gene Kim, and Sam Adams decided that they would tackle the daunting task of making the best music ever. They did it! Then they put out an album of some other stuff the following year, which proved to have some fairly brilliant moments (mixed in with some awfullity supremo, unfortunately).

Why this name?
Nick's brother Paul was being threatened by a friend and his "gang" of cohorts before a football game one day... Paul returned the threat with a promise of retalliation from his own "Asian gang", unfortunately, Sam had to be there.
Do you play live?
The only live show in Asian Gang history was the Homestead High School 2002 Variety Show, featuring Tom Stoffel as the guest drummer. The band had to restart the special extended version of Red Pavement after a few bars were played in complete darkness, as the lighting people neglected to stay on task.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Hot stuff, no?
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
No.
Your influences?
Sam loves noisy junk and Nick brings a cool hip-hop flavor to the material. Gene is a drummer.
Equipment used:
Sam has this broken Yamaha 4-track that we used to record the album... we only had one mic for most of the sessions, unfortunately, so most of the tracks were laid down one at a timel.
Anything else...?
This band is no longer together, but our spirit lives on. Please listen to Sam's new stuff at http://www.soundclick.com/SamAdams!!
