I had always loved singing. I would always try to imitate the vocal stylings of Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, and even Britney Spears when I was about 3 years old. Only thing is, the only people who that were me, my family, and closest friends. They would always try to boost my confidence and get me to introduce myself to the public, but I was always shy. The only time I would sing in public would be with friends, just playing around, and choir singing(6th grade) which doesn't allow you to individualize your voice. Then in 7th grade I stopped choir because I didn't know how much I loved singing. In 8th grade I entered a school talent show. Originally, I was going to just dance with my friends ONLY, but my older sister came to try-outs and pressures me into singing solo for try-outs,too. I wanted to do well in the talent show, and my mom wanted me to be better, so, she found me a vocal coach and, she helped me win 4th place! (I got 3rd with my friends dancing) After that, I started taking singing more seriously. I started singing out the way I knew could and would train before BIG performances. My voice has really matured since the talent show and now I have more confidence, but I still get really nervous!!
