I saw a picture of me once and thought that my face looked chubby, it looked like someone stuffed cotton in my cheeks or something... pretty cheezy...

I play out live as much as I can... Sometimes I bring other musicians along with me sometimes not... I play all over southern michigan, but am soon going to be going down to chicago and ohio... I just love interacting with people when I'm up there... it's hard to get the crowd involved with the music at this stage so I have to butter them up and made jokes and entertain in other ways so they enjoy themselves.. because most people don't know a lot of my songs...

The internet is great for exposure of very talented musicians to market their music where they might have had a much harder time otherwise... this gives everyone a chance, and the great stuff makes it through, like John Mayer, who made his following online virtually, and the crap gets weeded out...

It depends what the major label would be able to do for me...

Well the only consistent member is me, since I mainly play solo acoustic sets.... but I've been jamming with some very talented musicians here in kalamazoo and once I graduate in April, I should have a set group that will be playing with me and see where the music takes us from there...
Personally, I got my first guitar three years ago (plus a month or two) and just taught myself from the internet and getting tabs and chords off of OLGA, but then I got tired of playing other people's songs and started to write my own... I've collaborated with a friend of mine who always forgets the lyrics to his songs, so I just write the lyrics that stick, but mainly I write my own sogns exclusively... I don't know what else you want to here... like something from "Behind the Music:" Born James Joseph Atto at at Beaumont Hospital in metro detroit on July 11th, 1980, James looked more like a football player than a musician... little did he know that he was destined for greatness"

I like laid-back, yet upbeat music... I don't like anything really hard, because I'm so into lyrics that I like for people to understand what is being said, rather than just smash guitars or go crazy... but I like to have fun too... the kinds of music I'm into are some classic and contemporary rock, like U2, Matchbox Twenty, Black Crowes, Pete Townshend, Tonic... stuff like that... and some bluesy stuff, like Keb' Mo' who is my favorite, and that's where I get the itch to write my light-hearted bluesy numbers...

Right now, it would have to be Chicago, since I've been there so many times... plus I have a lot of friends who live there... other than that... the highway 401 in Ontario....everything about ontario is great.. the hockey, the clubs, the farms... especially the hanburger joints, like Weber's... mmmm...

I have such a simple setup... when I play out I just carry with me my washburn acoustic-electric, my Ovation acoustic-electric and my mic and micstand and my fender acoustisonic jr. amp... pretty simple setup... I'm a simple kinda guy...

Anything goes, eh? hmm.... I like to drive in reverse, because ever since I was in driver's ed, I was good at it... I like marshmallows, great deals, and long walks on the beach, short walks on the pavement, and uhh, I'm currently taking applications and holding interviews for my future wife...
