It helps up and coming artist display songs get their work listen to by big named Producers/A&R/Mangers/ect.

Oh yeah marjor labels can really help independent labels wit a lot of things that they can't do on their own.

Where should I start, my major influences are artist like Tupac, Out Kast, Kanye West , Most Def, TI, LiL Weezy, Jay Z, Luran Hill, Erykah Badu, Common, B.I.G; and the list goes on.
