Why this name?
Well, all my friends started to call me "Larry" back in Junior High. Larry it is the short name for Lorenzo (Lawrence) in English. I got used to it and there is my "artist name"!
Do you play live?
Yes, of course! I mix down at different parties, which are top of the line with me!!! I love playing live!. A special moment: I've mixed in front of a great crowd by the beach in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. It was off the hook!!!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It does, and big time. Internet allows you to expand as an independent artist and allows you to reach different kind of audience everywhere.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Well, i don't know right now. Maybe later, if i get a chance!
Band History:
I still remember. All started back in 2004. I went to a party with some friends and we arrived early. I knew the DJ because he was a senior student at Champagnat high school. I asked him if i could take a look to the equipment, and he said yes. I got interested in all the DJ scene and i kept looking for more info about equipment. I started with Atomix MP3 Player on my PC. Very basic, but that was just enough to start. Since that day i'm DJLarry!.
Your influences?
All genres are influential to me: House, tribal, techno, hip-hop, reggaeton, reggae, venezuelan music, r&b, etc.
Favorite spot?
My favorite spot always will be Caracas. It's just amazing the "club vibe" you get in here!
Equipment used:
Right now i'm using Virtual DJ. But i really enjoy mixing with Denon and Numark equipment.
