How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Suzanne: Mp3 to me is a great way to learn about music i would otherwise have never heard of. It made me buy more cd's, instead of less.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Not a major label, no.
Band History:
Displayed are a Dutch band who make music that could be called 'Riot Grrrl', 'Foxcore', 'Punk Rock' or maybe even 'Grunge'. The band started in August of 2004, though that was a different line up. All members live in the county of Noord-Brabant nowadays.

In June of 2004 drummer/vocalist Nora Uitterlinden (Missfed, Dusty Blinds a.o.) and bassist/vocalist Suzanne Klappe (Missfed) decided to be active musicians again. They found guitarist Astrid van den Berg (Long Story Short) through the internet and in August of 2005 "Displayed" started rehearsing in Dordrecht, where they had soon written a bunch of songs.
In March of 2005 the band moved to Breda for their rehearsals.
Displayed is active in the dutch Riot Grrrl scene, which resulted in a song on a DIY compilation cassette tape ("Riots in the Benelux", a project by Echo Records) and gigs in larger cities.

Unfortunately Nora decided to quit the band in July of 2005. When Nora was gone, Suzanne had to take over the leadvocals. Old songs were rebuild, new songs were written. Drummer Jasper Bogers (Ravenstorm, Putlucht a.o.) helped out for a few rehearsals untill drummer Barry Scheepers (Million Dollar Mistake, Just Dust a.o.) joined the band in September of 2005. In the meantime Astrid had started doing backing vocals as well. In no-time the band got on stage for a couple of gigs again. After that, the year of 2005 was ended by a smashing first show abroad (Belgium) so 2006 looked very promising! Still, Astrid decided to quit the band in January of 2006...

While searching for a new bandmember Barry and Suzanne kept busy - vocals (incl. guest vocals by two of the guys from Loss Of Words) were added to the recordings they started with Astrid. So February turned out to be a happy month after all, with the release of the first demo ("Shorter! Faster!") and the addition of guitarist/backing vocalist Jurriaan Bokdam (Seventh Sin, Swinger-One a.o.)
Displayed are ready to rock now more than ever, and start booking a bunch of gigs right away. In the past months they have opened for such acts as the Shocker (ex-L7) and Elle Bandita!
