Lonestar Hustlas
At First Me and my n*** G.Bradley started this music sh*** on the laptop. We started this sh*** livin in houston and we were makin cds just to eat. We put everything on the line. Hence the name of the label. Now we built up our assests and got a lil' studio. We screw & chop, make beats, and record. We tryin Big Money Texas on the map, holdin it down for the 409...
Why this name?
Like i said we put everything on the line to start the label so thats what we named the label
Do you play live?
Yeah we screw & chop for parties and shows around BMT. We used to have the laptop hooked up to the car and we would DJ live posted up at corner stores so we could give people a sample and then sell them a cd. And we do like it
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
man i think it takes away from sales a lil bit but thats how you start off first is undaground. But if you have the whole city screamin your name and knowin your songs then you a star. Just look at Mike Jones & Swishahouse. He started off undaground
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Hell Yeah. if i rapped but we are more of the producers. We are the label. Major without a major deal
Band History:
been doin it for awhile now we still on the rise. we gon come up in BMT and the 409 first then we gon be major. Like i said we started this sh*** just to eat, we done came a long way since then
Your influences?
DJ Screw, OG Ron C, Michael 5000 Watts, and just the screwed & chopped music movement itself, we been around it for years, its a Texas thing.
Favorite spot?
In the studio at home, or bein in Houston
