That's my nickname.
Do you play live?
Not yet, but I'm working on it. But I have been on stage plenty of times.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It puts an artist's music out there better. It is a great oppurtunity for artists to get known better and also for music lovers to find great new music.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes, depending on the contract and the label.
Band History:
Lakea has been writing and singing since about elementary school. Although, of course in elementary school she was writing short stories rather than songs. She was in a group called Kiwi-Strawberry with a friend named Kelsey in middle school. Now, she's working on new music.
Your influences?
Aretha Franklin, Patti Labelle, Luther Vandross, Mary J. Blige, and many more. I love feel-good music.
