Why this name?
Phil Throng came up with it .Murray Throng hated it at first but it has grown on him .He is now "a part of The Throng"
Do you play live?
Yes we do play live mostly up and down the east coast of Australia .We love it ,the best one so far was the launch of our new EP "From The Indian Call Center" at the Marlin hotel in our home town of Ulladulla ,mad lights and the crowd were great fun .We did support The Angles as well and that was cool .
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Well its good and bad, there is a lot of pirate stuff going on and that's bad but then if you look at the cover of the new tool album you would buy it even if you did not like the band .
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
No they can sign the one that we prepared earlier
Band History:
yes we have history .We have all played in bands all our lives and are glad that we found our selves in this one .Phil and Murray met when they joined a band called Magic Carpet but the founding member was a pot smoking freak so they left and formed The Throng
Your influences?
Ok well lets see that would be Led Zeppelin,Smashing pumpkins,Navarna Rage against the machine,tool,motzart,We can be heavy or soft ,bluesy or funky we touch on metal .its all good !
Favorite spot?
cities are fun for a bit but homes the spot
