Do you play live?
Yes we love playing live. This music is pure energy, raw emotion. Our purpose as a band is to bring that energy to our fans .
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It's great it makes it esier for us to get our sound out there to people that will like it.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes if were fortunate enough to have that oppertunity we will.
Band History:
In the fall of 2004 Long time band mates Will Ingram (guitar) and John MacDougall (drums) got together to begin a new project. They each brought contrasting influences to the table.
Will has been playing guitar for 7 years and was with John in 97x. Some of his influences include: Pantera, Old School Metallica, Tool, Black Label Society, and Slayer, Killswitch Engage, and many more. Will’s riffs bring bone crushing rhythms with melodic harmonies that make a sound that is both aggressive and melodic at the same time.
John has been behind the drum kit for 13 years. And has played for several local bands like (Crooked / NMSO4, 97x, 2 Faces of Death, Martyr Project, X Rated Porno Machine etc.). His influences include: Slipknot, KoRn, Pantera Fear Factory, MudVayne, Slayer, Lamb of God, Killswitch Engage, Chimera, Otep, Tool, and Alice In Chains. Odd times, intricate footwork, & Dynamic powerful grooves makes up the Rhythmic backbone.
With these 2 pieces of the puzzle in place the writing process began. After a few months of searching for a one of a kind front person in spring of 2005 Gina Stewart accepted the position on Vocals. Gina’s operatic vocal melodies and Lyrics allow you to feel all the emotion and her hardcore vocal work lets you feel the aggression. Gina's influences include: Faith No More, Pantera, Kittie, Evanescence, The Birthday Massacre, MudVayne, and many more.
And carrying the low-end rhythm is Sean Pedersen on Bass. His low-end thumps with John’s intense work on the drums make a earth shattering rhythm section.
Both Melodic and Driving, Enemy of Life has a unique metal sound that is all its own. This female fronted metal band is out to make chaos wherever they take the stage.
