The Original WET ANIMAL. This site is dedicated to the Original Wet Animal band featuring Rick Wartell on Lead Guitar and Ron Holzner on Bass Guitar of Trouble fame. Rounding up the original line-up is Shane Pasquall on Lead Vocals and Lead Guitar and Bob Holzner on Drums.

Why this name?
It was raining and someone saw an animal running. One said look at the animal.

The other said look at the Wet Animal.

The other said hey that would be a great name for a band.

The rest is history.
Do you play live?
The Original Wet Animal played numerous shows around Chicago and one show in Cleveland.

The current Wet Animal still play around the Chicago area and recently were planning a tour to Europe.

A great platform for unsigned bands to let their hair out.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
The Original Wet Animal were not signed. The current Wet Animal re-formed with a new rhythm section and did get signed.

Band History:
We formed around 1995 and played a couple of years then took a break which lasted close to 10 years.

Rick Wartell and Shane Pasqualla decided to re-form the band with a new bass player and drummer. The original rhythm section was not called or asked to return.

Heavy Hard Rock.

Chicago.
