Edge Runner is the name of the band and we play Original Heavy Hard Rock. We started out as an Original Heavy Prog Rock Fusion band but we thought we were too diversified. We decided to rock out and delve less into the progressive and fusion side.
Why this name?
The band name, Edge Runner, was given to me by my late friend Mike Caplow in 1988. I thought this was a cool name for a band that played music beyond the edge. A band beyond the norm and far from the mainstream. Innovative.
Do you play live?
We played live in and around Chicago. We are all pursuing our own solo projects at this time.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Gets the music into the hands of the commom folk without record companies selectivity.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
If it was the right deal for us. Not interested in selling my soul.
Band History:
The guitarist, Pat Long, and I started the band in 1990 with bassist Drago. He left then Nabil joined the band on bass guitar. This lasted for about a year then we went our own ways.

Pat and I reformed the band in 2002 with Pete Rodriguez on Bass Guitar and vocals. We played for over three years then we took a break last year. We are still on a break.
Your influences?
Prog Rock and Fusion initally then more Heavy Rock and Metal stuff.
Favorite spot?
Chicago.
Equipment used:
