If you are cynical and sardonic with a sense of humor, and you like the blues, Uncle Carl is for you.
Why this name?
They've been calling me Uncle Carl since my first niece was born. I finally gave up and acknowledged my destiny.
Do you play live?
We LOVE playing live, and we do it all the time in New York City.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I would be a complete unknown outside of New York City without it.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes, if a "major label contract" wasn't included.
Band History:
Uncle Carl regularly plays New York City clubs like the Sidewalk Cafe, The Fez, The Den, The Living Room, the Divine Bar, and the subway platform at 53rd and Lexington Avenue.
Your influences?
Randy Newman, Joni Mitchell, Tom Waits, Stravinsky, Marianne Faithful.
Favorite spot?
A bed.
Equipment used:
Whatever I can get.
