I am a composer / songwriter / arranger and a prolific musician playing primarily piano and keyboards. I simply love music and my style reflects heavy influences of Rock, R&B, Soul and Jazz.
My musical spectrum doesn’t stop there, however. I would be happy to write an Opera for your children or compose individualized music for your physical and mental relaxation. Actually one of my favorite things to compose and arrange is film music.
Just click on the music tab and feel free to listen a sampling of my work.

Do you play live?
Yes I play live with several bands or Big Bands. I rarely play my own stuff -I leave that to others….For many years I have been playing with my “home band” FFRB (www.ffrb.de) a Band that embraces the R&B and Soul music of Bands like TOWER OF POWER or EARTH WIND & FIRE. It’s great fun!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Internet and MP3 de-mystifies the music business. Musicians have a bigger platform to present and disseminate their work. Listeners, on the other hand, can easily find their favorite stuff and browse and gain a greater exposure to the various artist materials. This will “democratize” music – it’s an equalizer. This new level of access and proliferation, however, significantly increases the risk of copyright infringement and it is important to respect and recognize the musicians’ or composers’ exclusive rights.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Of course I would, but I haven’t had the opportunity yet. Maybe I should focus some of my efforts toward this!
Band History:
At the age of 10, I started my first piano lessons. At the age of 15, I had my first Band “The Commons”. Since that time, I have gained a lot of musical experience in a variety of bands and expanded my expertise in different musical fields. Most recently, for example, I published a primer for young musicians who want to study modern improvisation in jazz.
Your influences?
The range of music and musicians which have influenced me is very wide. The fact that I have become acquainted with the music of the great J.B. Bach when I was a very young guy has had as much of an impact as the rock music by Deep Purple or Joe Cocker, the "sophisticated" music of Steely Dan as well as the music of Sting and the jazz of the likes of Charlie Parker, Chick Corea and so many contemporary masters of today’s popular music (I especially like Jamie Cullum. That’s why the music work I do is so various.
Favorite spot?
All the places with good people and good music. However, I’m in love with a place in Italy, a tiny picturesque medieval town called “Sovana”. Wonderful people and excellent musicians live there!
Equipment used:
I play and use Kurzweil, Roland, Yamaha, Behringer, JBL and utilize various recording software tools like Cubase and Magix.
