paul fenton plays,improvises and composes music to relax and dream by.The use of the viola with analog and digital sythesizers makes for a very "interior" music that leaves few indifferent.
Why this name?
I use my own name as seen on countless pieces of very important paper.

I'm a professional musician,principal viola of "L'orchestre symphonique et lyrique de Nancy" and violist with the Stanislas Ensemble in France.http://www.ensemble-stanislas.com

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
All sorts of music is now available for anyone lucky enough to have internet access.This is very recent and wonderful.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Maybe.
Band History:
paul fenton was born in Chicago and grew up and started his musical education in Hobart,Tasmania.For the last 20 or so years he's been a professional violist in Germany,Luxembourg and France.
Your influences?
A great number of composers and musicians well and unknown aswell as huge influences from the natural and manmade environment.
Favorite spot?
Many favorite places including almost anywhere in Tasmania,but particularly on the coast and my favorite city Paris which I'm fortunate enough to visit quite often.
Equipment used:
viola by Arthur Richardson 1938,Alesis Andromeda,Korg Trinity,Roland JX-8P,Yamaha Motif ES8,01X,i88x and a home built PC with Orion,REAPER and an ever growing collection of soft synths and FX.
Anything else...?
It seems to me that anything which can heighten consciousness,and contact with our inner being,intuition,passion and simple joy is of utmost value and ever more so as time passes in this era of great changes.My hope is that my music can at least go in that direction and be enjoyed by those who care to listen.
