Thank you for visiting. I hope you enjoy my music. This project is entitled "A Moment of Clarity". You will hear traces of Rock, Country, and Bluegrass in my finger-picking style of acoustic guitar playing with a few other goodies thrown in here and there.

Why this name?
I considered a lot of names for this project but "A Moment of Clarity" spoke volumes to me. A good friend described my music as introspective. She liked the absence of lyrics and the emotions the melodies convey let you create your own story and mental imagery. Others commented about the high production quality and how clear the sound of the music is.

For me, my moment of clarity brought about the decision to give this music to anyone for their own personal enjoyment and let everyone freely share it with their friends. After all, God gave it to me for free... Why shouldn't I do the same? If any one person is touched in a positive way by it, then everything was worth it. The only limitations are on commercial exploitation because I'm still holding on to the hope of earning some kind of living from my musical efforts.

Do you play live?
I think it's more like I live to play. I do perform by invitation at festivals and private house concerts. For the most part I prefer to work in my personal studio and have friends over to help me lay down tracks.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
For me, it's an excellent way to share my music with anyone willing to listen. If you enjoy my music, help me distribute it by burning some copies for your friends.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I would prefer to license the use of my music to film producers to make money. In my mind it lends itself better for that kind of use. While we're on the subject...

Filmmakers are welcome to try the music out during editing and run it by everyone involved before buying the license. I thank you in advance for giving it a try and will try to stay within your budget. Email me.

Band History:
Does anybody really have that much time? Let me think...
My interest in finger style guitar began at a very early age after seeing Chet Atkins perform in concert.
I also play keyboards and a variety of other instruments but the acoustic guitar is my primary instrument of choice.
Your influences?
Chet Atkins, James Taylor, Doyle Dykes, Craig Chaquico, Doc & Merle Watson, the Ventures (remember them?), Steely Dan, Pink Floyd, Eagles, Doobie Bros, Peter, Paul & Mary, Lyle Lovett... There's just too many to name them all, but if you listen to my music you can probably tell.
Equipment used:
Guitars: Martin D-18, Carvin CC275 Acoustic/Electric, Fender? Bass
Keys: Roland D-50 (for strings), EMU Proteus (piano module)
Percussion: Djembe, Tamborine, Shaker Eggs, Plastic Jars, Ping Pong Paddles, and whatever else is laying around.
Anything else...?
Podcasters are welcome and encouraged to use my music freely. Email me if you want to get the higher quality 16 bit CD-R version.
