Well, im 18 years old and I have been listening to trance music and drum and bass since the 6th grade. I sorta faded away from it for some time until the beginning of Junior year of high school. I havent been able to stop listening to it since, i love it, there is nothing else like it to me. Recently (within the past 6 months) i have been making music regularly on Fruty Loops 5 and have been getting better and better with each passing day. This is my life and this is my music, it moves me in ways I cant explain and i will listen to it until I die.
Why this name?
Look at the picture, its kinda self explanatory... Katanas are beautiful weapons, and very deadly ones at that, lol.
Do you play live?
I do not play live, i would love to learn to mix on turntables, but at the moment i just make music on a PC.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
People are able to get so much music out to such a wide range of people, or at least people with the internet... Its revolutionary, its as easy as sitting down and finding what you like, it takes minutes if you have a good connection and there is so much music out there to be had.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
That is my dream, to sign with a record label and get my music out to the general population. I would love to make money off of it, but that doenst really matter, i just want people to enjoy what they hear, but the money is a good incentive to that.
Band History:
Not much here, ive been making music for about 6 months and have got much better at it through that time. I hope to get Reason sometime in the future and expand my horizons a helluva lot more.
Your influences?
Too many to name, a few are Dieselboy, Reid Speed, Tiesto, Carl Cox, DJ Dalien, anything with Shelley Harland (her voice is of a god), Paul Oakenfold, and the one that has inspired me the most, Sandra Collins (she is the trance music goddess in my eyes and she is immortal)
Favorite spot?
Probably Denver, so many good clubs up there, probably the best is Vinyl, and i highly reccomend anyone up there to go check it out, it is on 1082 Brodway in downtown Denver.
Equipment used:
Just a Dell PC and Fruty Loops 5
