Once upon a time...Ellie Watts and Sarah Pearsall were two best friends (From Guildford, England). They both loved music and rocking out. Two weeks before the start of their GCSE's...being the clever and sensible young women they are...they decided to start a band...a band to rival all bands....and so, on Saturday 6th May 2004 - The Monolithic was born in Ellie's bedroom.




And here we are...we are busily writting away...throwing together bits of randomness Sarah has composed over the years with more randomness...and creating what we believe is beautiful music.




We are inspired by many bands - our music taste is vast and fruitful... check out our personal profiles. I suppose at the moment you could say we are having a bit of a 'Stephen Lynch' moment- but only due to the creation of "I wanna suck..." and "Graeme"... However, please do not expect all of our tracks to sound like these. They will not. And in time, our pretty acoustic sound will spread into the dangerous teritory of rock 'n' roll. Watch this space
