Currently I play in Jazz 'n' Samba with Trinus de Vries on sax and Afinado with vocalist Yolanda van Zoolingen. Both Jazz 'n' Samba as well as Afinado can perform as a duo, but can be enlarged into a trio with a double bass player or a quartet with double bass and drums.

Jazz 'n' Samba and Afinado deliver classy, intimate music, with a repertoire of jazz-standards, bossa nova's and other latin-jazz. Perfectly suited to give that extra touch to a diner, reception or party.

Too many to list here. Lots of jazz musicians. To mention a few John Coltrane, Charlie Parker, John Scofield, Wes Montgomery, Joe Pass, Mike Stern, Pat Martino, Herbie Hancock etc.

I got interested in jazz around age 15. Before that I listened to lots of blues, rock and reggae. Before I got into jazz my favourite guitar-player was Jimi Hendrix.

I recently bought a D'Angelico Excel 1DP (2006). I also own a 1988 Epiphone, Sheraton. The basstracks are played with a Fender Jazz bass which I play over a mid 70's Kustom III amplifier. Besides that, you will hear a classical nylon string, a Hannika, on some recordings.
