We're just a simple band. We suck! That's about all you need to know. Enjoy the music. That's all that it's about! I'm just grunging my way thru the underground music scene......Long live the rebirth!
Why this name?
It sounded stupid. Yet complex and attractive at the same time.
Do you play live?
Occasionally. More or less privately just practicing. I don't think we're good enough or talented enough to perform... Who knows?
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It can be good and bad. Bad for mainstream record companies pushing the latest trend in pop and it can be good. You can actually hear music as it's meant to be. Without an image, and without any other motive besides getting your music out there to as many people as possible.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I would. But it would be under my terms. And I personally don't think any record company wants Neurosis unleashed to the mass media.
Band History:
History doesn't exist. We're creating it one sonic blast at a time.
Your influences?
I don't think our style is any particular style that you could categorize. It's just music. But as far as your question, we're never gonna have an r&b following. Crashing guitars is cliche. They cost too much! I would never do that...Yeah right. As far as influences, what grunge band hasn't been inspired by Nirvana? STP and Bush are also class acts and we owe them all alot as far as our influences are concerned.
Favorite spot?
Douglas, Georgia
Equipment used:
Too many to name.
Anything else...?
Uhm...the underground is still alive.
