CC Ward has been playing guitar since the sixties and has more recently started writing and singing songs from his own experiences. He spends a lot of time cruising the warm waters of the US and Caribbean on his sailboat and has put some of those adventures to music.

CC Ward plays electric and acoustic guitars, is heavily influenced by the blues, and presently plays in a duo. He also plays with some Blues Jam Bands around the St. Petersburg, Florida area.

The songs on this site feature CC Ward solo and all of the tracks were recorded by him in his own studio in Florida.
Do you play live?
CC Ward has played in many different bands over the years and presently plays in a duo called The Blue Island Beer Club. You can catch them in the St Petersburg, Florida area.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet and sites like Soundclick are forever changing the way music is delivered to listeners. Opportunities are available to the independent artist that were not dreamed of a few years ago. Although there will continue to be major labels heavily promoting artists they are convinced will make them loads of money, the internet will house the new Folk Artists.
Your influences?
Eric Clapton, The Byrds, Beatles, Fleetwood Mac, Jimmy Buffett, Neil Young, BB King, Pink Floyd
Favorite spot?
George Town, Bahamas
Equipment used:
I use mostly Fender guitars and am very happy with my GD47SCE acoustic which is Fender's top of the line Korean built guitar from 2004.

I usually like my Stratocasters and Fender Twin Reverb amp for electric applications but I have a Gibson RD Artist and a Telecaster copy that are fun too.

Recording is done on a laptop using Audacity software and very simple setups.
Anything else...?
My music has its roots in the sixties and seventies. I hope it is melodius and has a hook. All of the instruments are real and are played by me (with the exception of a couple of drum samples). Lovers of electronica, hip hop or strange sounds are going to find my music old fashioned and boring. I hope the rest of you like it!
