Andvaroi is the stage name for John O. Smith, a poet, musician and re-enactor. The weapon of choice for Andvaroi, is an old folk instrument called an autoharp. With this "box of 30-some strings that ring", Andvaroi plays a cross genre style of music; Some folk, some celtic, rock and many things in between. Andvaroi doesn't play his autoharps in what some would call the traditional style, as he plays it like several instruments at once, playing more that one part at a time.
Why this name?

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
While it does make illegal downloading and copying of music easier, the internet makes for a whole new and varied experience for the listener.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
No, as I feel they try to control too much of the creative process that is what art is all about.
