Log is a trio from Richmond, Va. featuring Steve Douglas (Gwar's original guitarist), axewoman Terry Terror, and reformed death metal drummer Brian Fisher. Our debut CD "Dodge & Burn" is out on Planetary Records.
Why this name?
We were following a truck loaded with logs and it hit us (the name, not the truck). We also are Ren & Stempy fans, and Log was the imaginary product advertised in commercials on the cartoon, representing how anything can be sold or marketed. Also logs are heavy, and so are we!
Do you play live?
We play in our hometown of Richmond, VA several times a month, and periodically hit the road for longer tours. We have played from Maine to Texas several times. We love it and live for it!
If you make it big..?
Big is a relative term...we try to be happy with what we get, but should we make millions we would certainly develop some sort of foundation to help other indie bands, and of course buy a house in the south of France!
Band History:
The band bega in 1994 and is still cooking...
Your influences?
Our influences range from noise pop such as Sonic Youth to lo-fi songwriters like Sparklehorse to full blown rockers like L7 to electronica such as chemical Brothers. We try to be open-minded to all genres of music.
Favorite spot?
Amsterdam and the south of France
