Here comes our band bio -- brace yourself...no seriously, you might want to get your mind right for this...
Music is and always will be the fountainhead of our creativity, but the tributaries that flow from it can often be just as provocative. This has led us as a band since 2001. We have four members, four years under our belts, and four original records. We practice hours on end, play shows hours on end, and rarely land on our rear ends*. We have shared the stage with Darren Jesse of Ben Folds Five, shared the stage with Zox, and shared the stage with nobody but ourselves. We have traveled inside Virginia, we have traveled outside Virginia, and we have traveled within our minds.
(Wow, how cheesy was that last sentence?!?)
Carey's pHD project at UVA keeps our academic sides close, as well as artistic. The studio and the road are beckoning. The days are fantastic. Our fans, family, friends, faucet repairman, felines, and fountainhead have helped lead the way thus far, and the water has only begun its stream. (Nice metaphor, huh?)

Why this name?
Fountainhead is a word. Fountainhead is a chief and copious source - an originator building on past greatness. Fountainhead is Jack Carrig, Tom Daly, Joe Piorkowski and Carey Sargent. From a fountainhead flows life, and from our life flows music. (Woa...)

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The industry will still be there, but the way it affects us will be even less visible. Internet music distibution is also run by corporations.
BUT...the internet allows audiences and musicians to connect, and helps musicians meet other musicians and book tours.
