Why this name?
The 1985 Chicago Bears were the only sports team with a hit single ever, and "85 bears" sounds better than "one dude".

I play live in the Cleveland area.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Nothing short of a revolution.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Sure, who wouldn't? But I don't think that noise will be the new pop anytime soon.
Band History:
I strenthened my sense of odd rhthyms and texture working as a studio session drummer, and hermetic habits towards creating weird music . Then worked with everything from harpists to video artists.

85 bears is one side of what I do. It is a purely improvised, recorded straight to tape music.
I also record and produce songs in a multitrack/post-production fashion.
