NEWS   I finally got a few beats up on here now. It's just a little sample. I'll keep 'em comming and try to show the range of my style. From west coast head bangers to east coast ear candy, to my favorite category, "some ol' other shit".
Stay tuned.

My name is CEMI.
I make beats.
Listen.
Why this name?
CEMI is short for Cemetery. It's a nickname I was given a while back.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It's harder to get paid!!!
There's a lot more exposure though to.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
What kind of question is this?
Hell yeah.
Band History:
It started back around 1985 when I first heard Run-DMC. After that I locked myself in a room with nothin' but a boom box and a gang of D batteries, and listened.
I started having thoughts of being an m.c. between 1990-92. I started writing and writing and writing until about 2001 when my first son was born.
I started makin' beats around 2005 and have been doin' it ever since.
Your influences?
I have a lot of influences. I grew up hearing my dad play old country music like Alabama and The Oakridge Boys. My mom was listening to Hall and Oats and The Eagles. I also heard some old R&B like Stevie Wonder and The Wispers. I was listening to Whodini, Eric B. and Rakim, NWA, and Kool G. Rap and DJ Polo. Pretty much a little bit of everything.
Favorite spot?
My city, Tacoma. I don't live there anymore (for my kids sake) but i'll always call Tacoma home.
Equipment used:
A little bit of not too much at all really. I got enough to do what I gotta do right now but i'm lookin' to get a little more later.
Anything else...?
LISTEN!
Hip-Hop is not just simple club beats to nod ya head to. I put a lot of time and a lot of thought into every beat I make so all I ask is that you listen to the WHOLE beat and try to pick up on every aspect of it and most of all....enjoy!!
