Uncooked Children is a band that plays very original rock music with catchy lyrics and melodies. We add a thick layer of synthesizers and guitar that gears the band toward hard rock. We are getting very popular in the Madison and Culpeper area, and have small fan bases accross the country including California and Michigan.
Why this name?
Jonathan Roth, the singer and frontman, was looking for an original screen name for instant messenger. When the band started to take shape, we looked at our list and it was a no-brainer that we should use this name. It's memorable, right?
Do you play live?
We play live. We play at parties, gigs, shows, and everywhere else there is electricity. We've played Battle of the Bands, 401 South Street, Jonathan's basement, and we are going to have more comming up.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It is both a huge help and setback. It is extremely hard for anyone to rise above the mass of faceless people that all seek to be known. On the upside, it helps bands promote new and GOOD mucic to a generation that needs it.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
It depends on how much of our lives we get to keep.
Band History:
We came to be in the fall of 2005. Carrie Crook, Jonathan Roth, and Charles Stone (not very popular or liked kids...) came together and decided to make music that this generation could use.
