Well here I am. My name is Alex Quinn and I have been in bands on and off since I was about 12. After a rather inspirational gig I went to last year I decided to go solo alongside my other project (www.theymademedoitmusic.com). I'm about to record my first CD which will be produced by my good friend Tim Malster (www.malster.com).
As far as my music is concerned I try to write from the heart and be as honest as I can. My song's deal with issues of life, love, faith and the questions and doubts that this ultimately brings.
I believe in God. It's something that I am proud of. However what I am not proud of is the assumptions that are made about me when I profess that belief. So for the record I am not a racist, homophobic, ignorant moron who believes every word of the bible to be historically accurate. I am also not a right wing fascist who interprets "love your Enemy" as "blow the living sh*** out of them at every opportunity." I believe Jesus was the greatest socialist to ever live and if I can live like he did then I am doing quite well.
Anyway enough of that rant. These things have to be said!

Do you play live?
I love to play live....
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
There is no longer much need for a record company. An artist can promote there ownb recordings very effectivly with some time and commitment.
