Give and Take
commercial drive formed in summer 2005 and have since created a large following for themselves in Norwich and countrywide. Producing original tracks, this year commercial drive have successfully created a self-funded album entitled 'After The Mountain' which has continued to sell well both at gigs and through our website.
Matthew (Guitarist), Abi (Bassist), James (Drummer) and Rob (Vocalist) will continue to entertain audiences through the coming months with their surf & boarding influenced, happy-go-lucky attitude and energy driven performances

Why this name?
'Commercial Drive' is the name of a main road in Vancouver, BC. It is the hub for arts, music, fine dining and drinking and so having lived there for 3 years, naturally Matthew became very accustomed to 'the drive', so much so the band was named after it. It also has a nice little play on words don't you think?
Do you play live?
Yes we do play live, as much as we can! At the moment its in and around Norwich but that is spreading to Northampton and a possibility of Liverpool. We love it!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet is great, the ability to access so many people and publish your music for them freely is a godsend which we will utilize greatly! It gets the music to the people that matter I guess.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes we would! Don't all rush up at once...
Your influences?
As a band influences are the following sorts of stuff... Pearl Jam, Muse, The Pixies, The Beatles, Matthew Good...
