Reptilian Feline is a one-woman-band, consisting of one member, me! I use my computer to write and record the music, because I can't afford to hire musicians. The computer gives me the possibility to experiment as well, try new instruments, new arrangements and so on. I mostly do covers at the moment...
Why this name?
It's the name I created for myself to use in cyberspace. It shows two sides of my personality.
Do you play live?
I don't play live unless someone asks me to sing. When I have the chance, I just love it. One of the best moments were when I sang in a choir at Royal Albert Hall.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It gives musicians a chance to try out their music on the public. I think people will still buy a non-pirated cd. A long time ago, people recorded music from the radio to listen to, and vinyl was still sold.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes, of course, but I would like to have a say in how my music is presented and recorded.
Your influences?
I am mostly influenced by classical music; Mozart, Bach, Beethoven, Handel. I also love Andrew Lloyed Weber. Power metal is also a big influence.
