Short Biography:

  • Kristian was born in Zug, Switzerland on 2nd November 1991.

  • At the age of five he received the first piano lessons. As a natural talent he finished the program for the regular three years of piano study in only six months.

  • First public performance at the age of six. Relatively early gained experience at larger public events, e.g. when he was only seven played in Casino Zug in front of 350 people.

  • From 1998 to 2004 piano study at the "Musikhochschule Luzern" (Conservatory Lucerne) with Diana Binder.

  • March 2003 - Swiss Youth Music Competition; Regional Competition in Zurich (Category 12-14 years piano solo) : First Prize with Honors.

  • May 2003 - Swiss Youth Music Competition; Final Competition in Biel (Category 12-14 years piano solo) : First Prize.

  • May 2003 - Youth Music Competition of Central Switzerland in Zug (Category 11-13 Jahre piano solo) : First Prize with Honors.

  • June 2003 - First public appearance with orchestra. Kristian plays the Haydn Piano Concerto in D major, Hob. XVIII:11 (Youth String Orchestra from the Lucerne Conservatory, Conductor: Dieter Lange).

  • November 2003 - European Piano Contest in Luxemburg (Division Excellence, no age limit) : First Prize and Gold Medal.

  • Various recitals in Switzerland (Lucerne, Zurich, Lugano, Zug, Wolfsberg/Ermatingen etc.).

  • From August 2004 Kristian concentrates on his piano studies at the "Hochshule f?r Musik und Theater Zurich/Winterthur" (Music Academy Zurich/Winterthur) with Prof. Karl-Andreas Kolly.

  • In March 2006 Kristian was by far the youngest candidate at the Swiss Final Competition "Eurovision Young Musicians - Mozart 2006" in Lugano (five candidates accepted after two Preliminary Stages; age up to 19!). Direct Television and Radio Broadcasting.

  • Currently Kristian attends the second grade at the "Kantonsschule" (Swiss High School) in Zug.
