Mountain Myst is a different sound in todays musical world. People that have experienced the music of Mountain Myst have said "That is so much like Pink Floyd but different" and to that we say, thank you. It's not an intentional push for this sound, but rather the influence. We hope you enjoy our music as much as we enjoy creating it.

NOTE: NEW STUFF ON THE WAY!
Why this name?
Mountain Myst was chosen because of its imagery. The image of the bands name had to match that of the music we create. Picture yourself on a mountain side early on a spring morning as the myst (mist) slowly rises from the ground. That is the image of the music.
Do you play live?
Mountain Myst does play live on occasion. Due to the many talents of various musicians that create the music, and each being involved in other bands it is rare but magical when we play live.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet has given indie artist the ability to create music and to have that music available for everyone around the world to experience it. Good, bad or indifferent every type of music is available for the sole purpose of enjoyment. It also allows the musician to create their music as they believe it should be with out outside interference. FREEDOM OF CREATIVITY! Let the music guide your mind to where it desires to go. Music is like a story, it's a journey that can free your mind, body and soul.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
If the right thing happens at the right time and we as musicians would stil retain the musical freedom of producing the music the way we want it, why not?
Band History:
Mountain Myst is composed of many musicians. You never know who is on what song, as it is a matter of who's available, and who is also the strongest musician for the track. So far that's Dan and I so you can see it's a big band! New stuff on the way with a few new faces playing I think!
Your influences?
Pink Floyd, Dream Theater, Journey, Marillion, SRV, this list could go on and on.
