Come explore what it means to be an angel trapped in a cage of flesh...
Why this name?
The phrase 'the Wings of Azrael' refers to the approach of death; the signs of death coming on the dying.

I've always been fascinated with angels, and the thought that they might be among us, and that we are, in fact, made of the same stuff of angels... the Light of Spirit...
Do you play live?
Not recently
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It sure makes a lot of obscure stuff way more accessible... and it puts a lot of obscure garbage in there, too...
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
That would depend on how big my @$$hole would be when they were done with me...
Band History:
I've been playing guitars, drums and keys since I was sixteen or so, but I gave all that up to be the lead singer of a band called Malicious Intent back in the very late eighties... we recorded one very rare album, and then the band splintered apart... the three remaining members, me, the drummer, and the bass player, stayed together with me as the guitarist... we wrote a lot of stuff, but could never find a decent vocalist... that band, Lingering Madness, lingered for another two years...
I gave up on music for almost ten years; I sold all my equipment, got a "real" job, got married, made some babies... and then realized I was miserable without music...
Your influences?
Fates Warning, Queensryche, Crimson Glory, Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath (The Dio Years!) Vicious Rumors, Iron Maiden, Godsmack, Staind, NIN, Marilyn Manson... Enya... :D
Favorite spot?
My favorite spot? At the "Y"...
Equipment used:
recording gear: An off-the-shelf Windows PC, SONAR 2.0 XL, Sound Forge 6, and Waves 3.0.
Instruments: A BOSS DR-5 (Band? Who needs a band?); various MIDI thingies, when I have the patience to mess with it; A 1986 Peavey Falcon with a rewound bridge pickup and a coil-tap tone knob; and ART vocal preamp with a $10 Radio Shack mic (I'm saving my pennies for a real mic :D ); an infinite amount of patience; and last but definitely not least, sheer love of music...
Anything else...?
