Cryptid is just an alter-ego of me and I use him to bring out the emotions inside of me. Together, D.Hatfield and Cryptid can spit some pretty wickit shit. But anyways...peep the sh*** cus its fresh. Be on the look out though for some more tracks in the near future.
Why this name?
Well, me and Jaycee (my producer and rap partner) were just looking up words on the internet, and Cryptid meant evil and wicked - so hey, I took it!
Do you play live?
I've never played live by myself. I've played live with my rap group Seperate Soulz...but no big shows, just parties and what not. We planning though, so dont sleep!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It's so much easier for muthaf***as to get the music out. I aint gotta go out slanging tapes, I just upload some sh*** and it rolls from there. I think it's good with America these days...because America is all lazy and fat people wanting cable tv, dvds, internets, and fast foods.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I dont know if I would. I would with the group I'm in Seperate Soulz...but Cryptid wouldn't. Society ain't ready to hear that sh*** I spit, so now...I wanna be underground where fans are true.
Band History:
I don't plan on doing anything with Crypitd, its just a side project. I'm in Seperate Soulz and thats the number one priority. This is just some sh*** to do on the side.

Theres ton yo, I'm not about to name them all...but to name a few: Insane Clown Posse, Twiztid, Esham, Natas, Blaze, Notorious B.I.G., Halfbreed, and theres a few.
Favorite spot?
Shit...I dont know. Probably up in my room chillin with a fat blunt, lol. Jaycee's lil studio is pretty fresh, too. But shit...I'm always somewhere different so I dont know.
