I write and record my own songs on my home computer. It is a great hobby. I love it!
Why this name?
Farbocaster (Farbstein + Stratocaster = Farbocaster. Get it?) is the name of my favorite guitar, a strat copy. I built it myself - with the assistance of Douglas Baldwin of Coyote Music!
Do you play live?
Yes. At B. B. King's blues club in Manhattan in the Battle of the Bands at Rock N Roll Fantasy Camp. (More below)
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet makes music available to more people. Songs can be sent via E-mail or posted on-line. Mp3's make music portable. One can easily bring his or her music along in an .mp3 player.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
They would have to approach me first - if they find me! LOL
Band History:
I've been writing songs for a few years. At age 59, I've finally become a rock star (in my own mind - at least)!
In the past, I played lead guitar in a rock band with some of my co-workers. I played lead guitar in a band at the August 30 - September 3, 2007 Rock N Roll Fantasy Camp. Great fun.

Your influences?
1960's bands. Beatles, Beach Boys, Rolling Stones, etc. Also AC/DC, ZZ Top, The Eagles, The Ventures...
Favorite spot?
Under the boardwalk...
Equipment used:
Home built strat - The Farbocaster (with two Seymour Duncan J.B. Jrs. and a Duckbucker), new home built Carvin "Bolt" kit guitar with a humbucker and two single coils, Fender Strat (with three Seymour Duncan Hot Rails), Guild Nitebird, Coyote Tele, Gretsch Tenesee Rose, Gibson SG, PRS, etc... Amps: 1960's Ampeg Reverbrocket, Fender Blues Deville, Crate GX-40C, Epiphone Valve Special. For recording on the computer, I plug my guitar and mic into a Line 6 TonePort UX2. Anvil Studio is my recording software. Drums are done on an M-Audio Keystation 49e midi controller or by clicking drum beats on Anvil Studio. Microphone is basic Shure PG48.
