Raoulsch has been publishing music through digital distribution channels since 2006. Raoulsch music is currently available on Soundclick, Amie St., and other sites supporting independent artists. Raoulsch did break into the Top 10 Acoustic Charts at Mixposure with a number of tracks. There are currently three albums available on Soundclick, “States of Mind”, released in 2006; as well as “World at the Edge” released in 2007, and the most recent album "Wind in my face" released in 2008. The latter albums are also available for purchase on CD Baby. Raoulsch music is acoustic based, with songs that reflect on current affairs and personal experiences.
Why this name?
It's my usual log in and e-mail name for everything on the web.
Do you play live?
Only at home.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It makes music ubiquitous and totally changes the way music is published, and consumed, giving more 'power' and choice to the consumer. Hardcopy distribution of music through CDs, etc will eventually become a niche market for high-end, and audiophile users.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Sure, anytime
Band History:
The first album "States of Mind" was published on Soundclick in '06, followed by a second album "Word at the Edge" in '07, the latter also being available on CDBaby as professionally mastered and printed "hardcopy" CD. Raoulsch is currently working on a third album, and hoping to publish the first tracks on Soundclick soon.
Your influences?
I started listening to music in the 70s, so there is a lot of influence of British and American pop and rock music of that era.
Favorite spot?
Currently Hong Kong after a recent visit,
Equipment used:
Seagull SM6 acoustic, a Fender Stratocaster (hecho en Mexico), Roland Boss guitar synthesizer, and Roland Boss BR864 home studio recorder
