Sheryl got ambitious to write songs while living in New Zealand, but it wasn't till Bush threatened to invade Iraq that she actually was motivated to get off her duff and produce the Pied Piper of Crawford.
Singer/Songwriter Maria Larson was so kind to play guitar for me in it.
Then she took on her song The Patriot Call with the kind help of her ex-boyfriend Mark Camann and hre kind friend Charles Peterson.
Since then , Sheryl met Talysman (aka urbeatle) on a dating website, and he told her about the online band he was in called The Interröbang Cartel. She uploaded one of her song ideas onto the forum there, where Major Zed and ?!Charlie started working with her to make it into a reality. It's really almost as much Major Zeds as hers at this point; he put so much work and creative thought into it. But they are both happy parents of that song. :-)

Why this name?
My parents thought Sheryl went well with Zettner. Don't ask me. I would have named myself Kelly if they had asked me.
Do you play live?
I played at Borders once and at a "Peace Cafe" in San Antonio. Maria and I also played at a Borders in Austin after I had entered the Pied Piper into a contest and got invited to play there. She and I also played a political event for David Van Os when he was running the Texas Supreme Court, but there wasn't really a good sound system for that. I owe a lot to Maria.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It makes it easier for people to be experimental and decentralizes the power of what we hear. But it also encourages the big players to tighten their reigns, so that we have beautiful independent options popping up online, but all you hear on the radio is either old music or modern crap.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
If I had artistic license to make my political and social statements, hell yeah! The point is to be heard.
Band History:
The band I am now in has a website here: http://www.interrobangcartel.com
Your influences?
I'm from the new wave age and prefer that, but my melodies are probably more influenced by experimenting with classical and world folk. As far as lyrics, I am a fan of The Arrogant Worms, The Austin Lounge Lizards, Tom Lehrer. Really like some songs from Chumbawamba's UN album. Like that song "On Ebay" was really cool.
Favorite spot?
San Francisco is pretty cool and the Buda part of Budapest and I rather liked Zacatecas. Boston and New York rock.
Equipment used:
Midi and soundfonts and on the Pied Piper song Maria Larson played guitar for me. Major Zed arranged this new song. Great job too!
