ABSINTHE is a fine green mixture of all west-coast genres with a pinch of east-coast funk, specially laced with the nuclear fusion of homegrown rock and roll.
Enjoy! and Thanks for listening! We'll catch you in Fairbanks, Anchorage, Wasilla, and Kenai/Soldotna this summer!

Why this name?
Absinthe is a banned drink of Victorian era gentlemen. It put it's drinker in an altered state and socially bridged the gap between the upper-class and the bohemian revolutionaries. I think that we fit that title well, offering our listeners a mixture of music that everyone can bounce to, yet it still enhances one's self.
Do you play live?
We play around the Kenai/Soldotna area for the most part. For the last few months, we've been practicing four times a week preparing for our summer tour, which starts this Solstice in Fairbanks.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yep. A record out there on the open market would be nice. A few people has offered to put "Amore" on a label, but to certain expenses that we don't have. Besides, we're a live band.
Band History:
Ben - Guitars/Didgeridoo/Vocals/Songwriting
I've been playing guitar for nine years now, writing for five, didgeridooing for three, producing for two, and singing for one and a half. All of it's been able to come together in Absinthe. I've been in an array of bands before, but ABSINTHE just clicks...we all have the same vision.
Chitty - Guitar
This is Chitty's first band, even though he's a five year player...he's a rock legend in his basement. He's an "experimenter" on the guitar, and can pull some sweet Morello-esque tricks. Chitty puts the edge on things.
Mike - Drums
Mike has 9 years of percussion experience. He's been in a blues band, a reggae band, a jazz band, a hardcore band, and finally ABSINTHE. Never have I clicked with such an unexpected musical soulmate. We're moving to Boston to live West Coast music out in the East.
Lowell - Bass
LOL is the new bass player. He's the frontman of Better Off Jim, and has three years of bass playing experience. He's been in a hardcore band and an acoustic band, but fits into ABSINTHE even better than our last bass player.
