play lo-fi play hi-fi  TAKE IT SLOW
I am currently a solo artist.I get to work with bands occassionally as well as individual artists, but do more of solo performances. I have been going through a kind of developmental and grounding phase where i have had the chance to define things for myself musically.
I have also been well into writing and composing.

The desire of my heart is to enjoy music to the point where i can take it to the hearts and minds of many around me and across the globe.
My wish is to share the joy of humanity, with the intention to communicate every form of emotion high or low connecting with my audience on a common ground where we can nod our heads in agreement knowing where we both are coming from. Oh i really would love to sell records you know.Loads too!
Why this name?
It's just the one name i've always used since i was a little boy. Looking back can't believe i once used to say it was my surname. That's how cool i thought it was.It sounds like it's got the vibe! You don't get it? Don't worry about it! Just kidding,im just quite fund of it!
Do you play live?
Yes i do. I have done a few shows and concerts. It's one thing i intend to do a lot more at the moment.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
No doubt! I think it sure does, especially in terms of helping those with a passion for the art take things just that step further. I reckon it's one great avenue many of us should be thankful for.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
It something i will definitely like to do at some point.I have got a bit work to do at the moment with respect to production.I'll settle for this at the moment.
Band History:
I feel like i was born to do this. Having started as a little boy of "4,"its been music all the way.
My musical background did not help matters either, coming from a family were singing hymns and songs whilst travelling from one end of the country to the other was the order of the day.
With little memories such as this, a few of us have indeed emerged into singers/performers/musicians/producers.
TOBI,singer/song writer/musician and founder of the band AFRIAKA is one i believe to be very powerful and talented. His musical productivity is one that to me forms the very essence of what the music industry "needs" at the moment. I feel quite proud to have him as a brother, someone i look up to so much musically and otherwise.

Time has been wonderful, in terms of what it has allowed me experience and achieve in this regard.
Being one that embraces most genres of music, i have been able to explore and test waters and gradually i have found my style, strenghth, my passion, medium of expression, my spark,my musical presonality, myself.
As humble and unnarrowly minded as possible,i like to call myself a musician/song writer/producer,that specializes in the performance of Soul, with a blend of R n B and a touch of jazz.
My journey to this point has not been without the likes of some great artists who have indeed reached and influenced me.

At present, i'd say i am more of a solo artist.
I work with bands quite often. I try to do performances as often as possible to keep on top of my game.

I am at present trying to master the art of production which i believe will enhance my music generally.

Your influences?
Having grown up in AFRICA NIGERIA, as a kid the likes of Christie Essien Ibokwe, King Sunny Ade and Majek Fashek were people i looked up to.
From my American days, Stevie Wonder remains a musiacl father to me. Lauryn "baby" Hill is one fine woman i more than admire. I call her my "baby" mother - My way of expressing utmost respect for one of the best female vocalists and lyricist the world has and will ever know. She lights my fire!
My mentor and friend JOHN LEGEND is one person that takes me away from a world of musical fantasy to one of reality. He brings it raw as it is, fresh from the heart from every note you hear when his on the keys(piano) to the depth of his tone when he sings. The blend of gospel, soul and r n b? I believe he's just started with us!
BIG OLD "SAM COOKE" is another. From tracks like "You send me" to "nothing can change this love," the soulful side of me as well emerged.
