Why this name?
Ive been known as Rich Mac for ten years but since i took part in The Fillmore Slim story, ive gained respect as "The future of the game" so people call me future
Do you play live?
Ive done a gang of performances and i love gettin down on stage, im tryna do as many as possible, i love the crowd energy, it moves me...........my next show is 5/16 at the world famous HOUSE OF BLUES in LA
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think the positive outweigh the negative, yes its easier to get someones album for free, but your music can go so much further so much faster so i guess it outweighs the bootleggers
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Well im in the process of gettin my major distribution, but i think u gotta do your own thang with your team then take it to the big boys
Band History:
Rich Mac aka The future of the Game has been thru many trials and trubulations. He never knew his father and grew up in single parent home in the Westborough district of South san francisco. Nurtured as a youth his mother worked extremely hard to keep him smart and to keep him safe, but without a steady father figure in the home by the age of 12 future was hangin with street thugs and gang members. As time went on his ties to the streets grew, instead of looking up to a man of the house he was looking up to the dealers, thugs, and pimps who ran the streets. As he grew to earn respect in the streets and as a man he also began work on music and formed a group with a longtime homeboy Grimey, and the group was called DIRTY WORK. After doing work with DIRTY WORK future earned his name by doing work on The Gospel of the Game, a documentary based on the life of frisco legend Fillmoe Slim. In this DVD future gained the respect of the O.Gz and solitified himself as a future foundation in the game. He also was the only man ever to be blessed in the game on film. Now at hard work on his First solo album future wishes the best to the fans, artists, and especially the people who supported him from day 1.
